3. How do I Automatically Download Content from feeds.?

<< Return to the Getting Started Menu.

Big Screen Headlines 2 provides the ability to directly playback automatically downloaded content from your
local system (which allows for fast playback without the buffering problems experienced with downloading
         content on demand).

Automatic Downloading of content is a feature provided via the Internet Explorer (IE) Subscriber Feed system - and
is configured via the Feed Management features within Internet Explorer.

These Subscriber Feed Management features can also be accessed via the 'Feeds' tab in the "Favorites Center"
Toolbar (or you can quickly open this tab by pressing Ctlr-Shift-J).

Please also see the installed Release Notes File for more detailed information on Subscriber Feeds.

Locate the feed you wish to configure for automatic downloading - and view it's properties (via right clicking and
         selecting the properties item).

To enable Automatic Downloading - check the option titled 'Automatically Download attached files' - and the
feature will be enabled (you may need to wait some time before the files have been downloaded).

Please also see the installed Release Notes File for more detailed information on Subscriber Feeds.

Please Note : As Headlines 2 contains sophisticated parsing of feeds (and support for a wide variety of
RSS formats) - in many cases you will see additional content not recognized by  Internet Explorer's Automatic
Downloading features. (which means some additional media content must be viewed on demand).

If you are unsure of what content will be recognized for Automatic Downloading - when viewing the feed
in Internet Explorer - you will be able confirm what files will be retrieved by observing the
content that appears in the enclosure link (and if not displayed - it will not be downloaded).

Please also see the installed Release Notes File for more detailed information on Subscriber Feeds.
