*NEW/UPDATE* - October 28th, 2012 - Big Screen EPG v1.5a Update with Windows 8 RTM Support (Beta) A new beta version of Big Screen EPG (v1.5a) is now available which contains fixes, enhancements and supports Windows 8 Pro with Media Center (RTM/GA Release). Please note you need to download either the Windows 8 or Windows 7 installer package depending on which o/s you intend to run it on. Note that all licensed/valid users of this product who are registered with the Windows 7 release are automatically granted same license for Windows 8 and vice - versa (no additional purchase necessary). See below for more information. Please see the download section for links. Release includes : - Contains seperate replacement .exe files for bsetool (one for Windows 7 and another for Windows 8) - you must install the original app before using this patch. Ensure you read the installation instructions (and known issues for Windows 8). - Includes new metro style UI (work in progress), enhancements and more (see Release Notes) - Includes new TV Series Update mechanism (and has online data files for 2500+ new series including 2012 titles). - Fixes problems with XMLTV import for xmltvns (fixes Part Number bug) and Schedules Direct (fixes episode id problem). As Above Please Note : As Big Screen EPG subscriptions are not version/platform specific and hence will entitle registered users to download both the Windows 7 + Windows 8 versions using same license/registration (the overall 'total' machine limit still applies for the family License - so would be any combination of 5 machines regardless of version used - ie. you could have 3 machines with Win7 and 2 machines with Win8 = 5 machines...). Hence - there's no reason to not purchase (or renew) your Big Screen EPG license as it will be useable on any current release. |
